Single-family elevators, also called home elevators or freight elevators, are those elevators that are usually installed inside a single-family house to communicate two or more floors.

Stiltz elevators are one of the most compact solutions you can find when installing an elevator in your home to facilitate the mobility of people with or without wheelchairs for 2-story homes.
It runs on a winding drum motor with all mechanical and electrical components located inside the cab roof recess, and plugs directly into a normal electrical outlet, just like any other household appliance.
The elevator can be operated by means of an in-cab control panel or by means of a remote control from the outside. In addition, in order to guarantee a much safer operation, it includes a safety battery in case of power failure.

It works under the principles of pneumatics and vacuum, both different but related and that together give rise to the technology of the pneumatic elevator manufactured by the company. If we take into account the enclosure, which is always included in this model, the smallest version measures only 840 x 880 mm externally, with a pit of only 50 mm deep and if you do not want to make a pit, we can support it on the pavement and it will come with a ramp that will allow you to enter comfortably. The escape is 2248 mm on the top floor.
Hydraulic single-family elevators are those that work by driving oil by means of a motor and a pump, from a tank to the piston, thus allowing the elevation of the cabin.
This equipment has been designed under maximum safety criteria, with photoelectric barriers, bus doors and automatic doors in the cabin, thus guaranteeing greater reliability.
In addition, they are characterized by low power consumption, very similar to that of most household appliances. They operate silently, gliding smoothly without vibration.
The price of single-family elevators depends on many factors, such as the model chosen, the type of doors, the number of stops, etc. In general terms we can say that the price will range from €10,000 to €60,000.
Although they are commonly installed in single-family homes, in some cases we install them in small communities of 1 or 2 homes per floor and up to a maximum of 5 stops. These are cases in which there are no other possibilities or the cost of installing a standard elevator is too high due to the technical implications.
We can install a single-family elevator in a shaft of only 60 cm. The dimensions of the shaft will depend on the size of the cabin and the type of elevator, however, the ideal dimensions to be valid for wheelchair use is 145 cm wide and 145 cm deep.

In Spain since 2013, after the entry into force of RD88/2013, any elevator or elevator in which people go up and that is used to connect 2 floors or more has mandatory legalization in industry and a maintenance contract with revisions every 4 months.
It is very difficult to find a second-hand elevator that fits both the shaft dimensions and the height (although not impossible). It is not common to remove an elevator once it has been installed.
